Sustainable and responsible travel – be part of the touristic transformation. With our Eco Green Mount Etna Tour you choose the most enjoyable experience, because they do good. It connects adventure with sustainabilty and preserves the unique nature on Mount Etna. Discover one of the most active volcanoes in the world with our Eco Green Tour. We will pick you up at your accommodation with one of our electric vans and are heading in the direction of the volcano.

We are passing idyllic Sicilian villages and some of Sicily’s most famous wine-growing regions and whilst gaining altitude, you will learn a lot about the country, the population and their culture. You will certainly remember the impressive play of colours of the black lava and the extraordinary vegetation on Mount Etna. As we pass by the lava flows of recent years, we will see centuries-old forests and we will stop at some of the most beautiful places on Mount Etna. We will also pass by one of the old houses which was destroyed by an eruption in the past. During an easy and impressive hike of approx. 1 hour on the craters in the surrounding, you will see the unique landscape with the old and new lava.

You will learn a lot about the history of the volcano with its myths and about the current situation during this guided trip on Mount Etna, always accompanied by your competent English-speaking guide. You will continue your electric tour through the pine forests and you will get further insight into the unique and diverse flora and fauna which inhabits the lava rocks. The Mount Etna park flora is extremely rich and varied, and shapes the landscape with its continuous changes.

Like the speleologists, you will be equipped with helmets and flashlights to explore one of the famous lava caves on foot with your guide. These caves were created by a lava flow and they still have special properties. Centuries ago, residents close to Mount Etna used these caves for the ice production.

As the last stop of our Eco Green half day experience we will drive to the hardened lava flows, which destroyed the local ski lift during the last big eruption.

After all these unforgettable impressions we will return to your accommodation.

Etna half day tour

We had a great tour on Mount Etna. Our guide was interesting, helpful, patient and friendly. The scenery was spectacular and even the weather was perfect. Mamma Etna is a must see and these guys were great.

Terrific Tour

Had a wonderful time on the Go Etna tour . Francesco was our guide . He is an expert on all the things Mt Etna ( and Sicily ) and loves to share his knowledge . Some parts are a little strenuous ( getting out of cave and hiking ) so be careful if you have people in your group that are not in ok physical condition . Also wear good shoes - hiking or trail running are best . Some areas are slippery with regular running shoes

Awesome Etna slopes tour

The Go-Etna half day eco tour was very enjoyable. Our guide Salvo was very informative and engaging, and the tour itself took in some interesting and captivating sites. The hike was not too strenuous, just a gentle 1hr-ish walk up and around some craters, and thankfully the tour guys changed up the plan a bit midway so we weren't in a throng of (other tours) people. We acsended up the mountain through the villages and got some facts about the local area, and stopped for lunch at a lovely woodland restaurant. The van was comfortable and air conditioned, and the smaller group meant we were able to see a bit more. Overall a very pleasant tour!

Wow

Wow, tour was great. Loved the cave, the vulcano and the hike. Especially the surprise at the beginning of the hike! Also the eco Cars were very comfy and chill. As well as the guides Samuel en cicio!! 10/10 would do again

Are there any additional costs?

Absolutely not! We only offer "all inclusive" trips. There are no nasty surprises during the tour; no hidden costs or entrance fees which have to be paid separately, for the listed program.

What clothing is recommended for this tour?

Recommended clothing varies depending on the season:

From November to March
We recommend a winter jacket, long trousers, a warm hat and sturdy waterproof shoes.

From April to May
Weather and temperatures can be very different, so we recommend layered winter clothing and trainers.

From June to September
The weather and temperatures are pleasant, we recommend a T-shirt, trousers or shorts, sneakers. (In any case, it is recommended to have a light jacket with you in case of wind)

What happens in case of bad weather?
