Approximately 20 km south of the old town is the “Valley of the Temples”, famous for its well-preserved temples. In this high plateau we visit the Temple of Concordia, the Temple of Zeus’, the Temple of Hera, the Temple of Heracles and the Temple of Dioscure. The Temple of Concordia is one of the best preserved in the Greek world, the pillars of Heracles offer an impressive sight.
Go back in time and immerse yourself in the ancient world here. The extensive area of ??the Temple Valley offers fascinating sights and a spectacular view of the south coast of Sicily. Spend a full day here amid the temples. In the Valle dei Templi there is also an archaeological museum, which accommodates valuable objects from the former city of Akragas.
